Smart Home Educational Kit consists of a box set with Arduino, three add-on shield boards, USB wire and components. We have used this educational kit to conduct STEM activities in both primary school and secondary school. There are 10 lessons included, each lesson suitable for a 2 hours STEM hands-on activities using Arduino board and three Shields boards (Shield A are sensors, Shield B for color/mix LED color light, Shield C for coo/hot air conditioning) . For mblock programming with be use and students will easily enjoy programming without a need to write line by line codes.

Hardware including Arduino board and below items:
Add-on shield board A: If the activities are program sensors. Student plug the Shield A on top of the Arduino board, then connect USB cable to the computer. That's all you connect the hardware. The lesson will guide you the software programming by mblockstep by step until success. The coding will detect the sensor and collect signal from sensors, including photocell, touch sensor, push button, and buzzer. The student could program the brightness of LED according to the sensor readings.
Add-on shield board B: If the activities is color mixing by red, green and blue. Student plug the Shield B on top of the Arduino board, then connect USB cable to the computer. That's all you connect the hardware. The lesson will guide you the software programming by mblock step by step until success. The coding will detect the rotation of each rotatable device and output corresponding light intensity of light. Student may mix any color by the three knobs.
Add-on shield board C: If the activities is smart air conditioning. Student plugs the Shield C on top of the Arduino board, then connect a USB cable to the computer. That's all you connect the hardware. The lesson will guide you the software programming by mblockstep by step until success. The coding will generate cool air or hot air, the student could feel the temperature and modify the software to change temperature.

How to start?
Choose a shield (A, B, or C) and plug into Arduino board, connect the USB cable to computer. Install mblock in your computer, it is a programming without write line-by-line of codes. Have fun!
